I have spent 30 years in sales and marketing as a manager and as a consultant, using Excel with all its many features as a powerful sales management tool. As a Microsoft Accredited Excel Expert I have worked with mid-market businesses across Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and wider afield. When it comes to analysing and representing sales figures, many are turning to Dashboards. However, they are often difficult to update and the structure is difficult to change. As a result, they rarely represent the information you need to manage and motivate your sales and marketing teams.
What is more, they are infrequently updated, usually for weekly and monthly sales meetings. It is often a manual operation, sometimes taking a day.
